The driver details are similar to those posted by in the above topic and the Mini is now recognised by SDR#Īpril 2019: I have upgraded to HF+ and am encountering similar problems to the ones I had with my Mini. It is now in the "USB Devices" section of Device Manager and working properly. I then used Zadig, as suggested by the Wiki, and after it issued a "not responding" warning for about 5 secs, it came up with the message "driver installed". On my installation the Airspy Mini was not recognised and it remained in the "Other Devices" section of Device Manager with a yellow warning alongside.
In my experience, on W8.1 the AIRSPY hardware was automatically detected by the system, whilst on the two W7 I had to resort to the XP procedure using Zadig utility and everything worked fine." This is the relevant quote from the Wiki: "For what concerns the driver's installation, please follow the original instructions.

I had decided to abandon SDR# and install the External IO as detailed in the Wiki in order to use SDR# (I also needed it to use the Mini with another Windows SDR program).

October 2018: I was having problems getting my Airspy Mini to be recognised by the current version of SDR# on a laptop with a recent re-installation of Windows 7 SP1. In both cases Win 7 would not find a driver for the device. I had problems installing my Airspy Mini and now the HF+ in Windows 7. However, I have been asked to raise a new topic.

Unable to install Airspy HF+ on windows 7 or windows 8.1 I now have both Airspy devices working with SDR# but my method seems to go against the advice "Don't use Zadig" mentioned in the previous topic. Zadig had loaded the driver, but had also changed the description from AIRSPY HF+ to WinUSB Generic Device. I tried SDR# again and it was now working. 16385 as reported by in the previous topic. The device was working properly and the driver was libwdi. On plugging and replugging HF+, I found that it now appeared at the bottom of the Device Manager list as "WinUSB Generic Device" under USB Controllers. On retrying Zadig, the HF+ had vanished from the menu and from Device Manager. This time it reported "Driver installation failed".
I installed the April 2018 ExtIO for use in other Windows SDR programs (my firmware is version 1.0.0). I proceeded as in my previous post #29713 (Oct 2018). It appears in Win7 Device Manager as AIRSPY HF+ but Win7 can't find any drivers. Win 10 SDR# version 1700 recognises HF+ with no problems. In my experience, on W8.1 the AIRSPY hardware was automatically detected by the system, whilst on the two W7 I had to resort to the XP procedure using Zadig utility and everything worked fine." On my installation the Airspy Mini was not recognised and it remained in the "Other Devices" section of Device Manager with a yellow warning alongside. U nable to install Airspy HF+ on windows 7 or windows 8.1
